Allergen Information


The 9 major serious allergens required to be labelled on Australian and New Zealand food products are the following: Cereals containing Gluten, namely, Wheat, Rye, Barley, Oats and Spelt; Crustacea; Egg; Fish; Milk; Peanuts; Soybeans; Sesame Seeds; and Tree nuts. Added Sulphites in concentrations of greater than 10mg/kg are also required to be labelled.

When ingredients containing allergens are present in a MasterFoods product, they will always appear on the label either in enclosed brackets (in bold print) immediately following the ingredient that contains them. e.g. Glucose (from wheat), or in bold print as part of the ingredient e.g. Cheese Flavour, Milk Powder.
